A National Collegiate Veterans Association:

Plan of Action

 

The Vision of the National Veterans Association is to establish and facilitate Collegiate Veterans Association (CVA) Chapters throughout the US

The Mission of CVA Chapters is to attend to the needs of veterans and their families at each campus

The Membership of CVA Chapters is composed of students who are either veterans or their supporters

 

Objectives of a National Plan of Action

1. Identify all veteran-related, college-based clubs in a given state by surveying, via the web*, the veteran service coordinators in the state through the State's Department of Veterans Affairs that has responsibility for certifying each campus program.

2. Identify the degree of interest in starting a club and, if interested, the name of the contact person through the above procedure.

3. Development and implement a grass-roots campaign to promote establishing at least one CVA-related organization in every US state.

4. Provide step-by-step procedures for establishing a club and then a chapter of the CVA.

5. Convene a Founding Convocation Conference of the CVA to establish national bylaws, a constitution, elect officers, and being to build the infrastructure to support chapters nationally that is consistent with the Vision.
