Nominations sought for FSU Board of Trustees

The Trustee Nominating Committee of the Florida Board of Governors is seeking candidates for appointment to the Boards of Trustees for all 11 universities.

Each of Florida's 11 state universities has a 13-member Board of Trustees responsible for cost-effective policy, and for implementing and maintaining high-quality education programs consistent with the university's mission. The Boards of Trustees also develop processes to meet state policy, budgeting and education standards.

Individuals interested in serving on a university Board of Trustees must complete the specific Florida Board of Governors application form available at www.flbog.edu and submit it to the address indicated.

"The Florida Board of Governors would like leaders from all sectors and all backgrounds to apply for these Trustee positions, individuals who will support the university they serve and who also will support the goals and priorities of the State University System of Florida," said Morteza "Mori" Hosseini, Chair of the Trustee Nominating Committee.

The deadline for submission of applications for all vacancies is Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. EST. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered. Applications should not be sent to the individual universities for processing.
