There it is: LOVE! This is the main theme of this second issue in this
month of February. It is indeed an exceptional issue for two main
reasons. First because with this issue, we finally managed to include two
more language sections (Chinese and Russian) that increases the count to
a total of 8 languages. Keep in mind that Global Talk is affiliated with
the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics and all those 8
languages are taught in this FSU department. You may consult Global Talk
not only for your personal leisure, but also as a practical tool to
deepen your understanding of the language of your interest. Secondly with
this main “Love” theme we unified all different cultures and languages
getting you, the student and the member of the community, involved in the
creation of a “Love Poem.” Each language section is hosting the winning
poem from this month Poetry contest. Look for the winner and you may find
someone like you. Read the poetry and you will be amazed by the freshness
and creativity of your fellow students and neighbors. Each vocabulary
section displays expressions that you may want to use for this
Valentine’s Day. Remember that Global Talk is always seeking aspiring
collaborators for each language. But without any further comments, let us
welcome you, once again, inside the complex but yet stirring and wealthy
reality of our world culture.
